Adventist High School Makes TV News
SPANGLE, Wash., August 26, 2010 – Upper Columbia Academy was featured Wednesday during the evening news on Spokane’s CBS affiliate, KREM, Channel 2.
UCA is participating in the Kohl’s Care’s 10th anniversary contest. The top 20 schools with the most votes will each be given $500,000. Currently, UCA is the only school from Eastern Washington in the top 40.
If UCA can make it to the top 20, they plan to use the funds for much-needed improvements to their cafeteria and dorms. UCA is only 12 spots away from making their dreams a reality. They have until next Friday, September 3, to get the votes.
Friends of UCA, interested in voting, can do so by visiting the schools
website or searching for
Kohl’s Cares on Facebook. Mount Ellis Academy, another Adventist school is currently at number 18 in the contest.

UPDATE!
Mount Ellis made it in the top 20, not only the to 20, but the top 10!
They will receive $500,000 from the KOHL'S Cares Contest. It is nothing short of an answer to prayer so that now they can make the improvements so badly needed. UCA didn't make it in the top 20, but many people were introduced to an amazing Christian academy. Blessings will flow from this.
Thank you to all who voted and encouraged others to do the same!
